Community Spotlight: K-12-Outfitters & the Power of Local Service
I’m honored to highlight an extraordinary organization here in Horry County — K12 Outfitters, founded by the dedicated and compassionate Theresa Chambers.
Theresa collects unclaimed clothing from school lost-and-found rooms, washes and organizes everything, and assembles care bags for students who need clothing support. Each bag includes a simple but powerful message: “You are loved.”
After volunteering with her, I was struck by her level of organization and commitment. Her entire garage is transformed into a fully functioning distribution center, with bins labeled by size and type, making it easy to assemble bags efficiently and thoughtfully.
Theresa is making a real impact and now she needs volunteers to help continue this work. Whether you can donate your time or contribute through her Amazon wish list, every act of support helps a child feel seen, valued, and cared for and builds their self-esteem to help them leaDo Goodhis week, her story was featured in David Begnaud’s Do Good newsletter, highlighting the goodness happening right here in our community.
My mother once wrote to me in my 6th grade autograph book....
“Do all the good you can, to all the people you can, in every way you can.” It’s a message I try tDavid Begnaudry day and one that we can spread through the David Begnaud’s Do Good Crew newsletter, and podcast and Instagram sign up for the newsletter your soul will be happy to read all the amazing “Do Good” stories going on in the world today!
Let’s continue to uplift, support, and serve.
