Do you own timeshare points you don’t always use? You may have another option besides letting them go unused.
Some owners use their available points to book a resort stay for a traveler. The owner receives payment for the reservation, and the traveler gets to enjoy a vacation at a resort they might not have found otherwise. When it’s handled correctly, it can be a way to make better use of points you already own.
There’s more to it than simply posting “points for rent,” though. Each vacation club has its own rules, booking windows, guest requirements, fees, and deadlines. The details matter, and every reservation needs to follow the program’s guidelines. What works for one owner or resort may not work the same way for another.
I’ve spent years working with timeshare reservations and helping owners understand how this process can work. I put together a guide for owners who want to learn more, including what to consider before getting started.
Curious whether renting a reservation made with your points could be an option for you? Message me the word GUIDE and I’ll send you the information.
Availability, program rules, and potential earnings vary. There’s no guaranteed income, and owners should check the terms of their specific vacation club.
