rket analysis. Kristin Kingsley is a native of Myrtle Beach where her family was involved in real estate development as early as the 1960s. She graduated from Socastee high school in 1991, and obtained a BFA in film and television from NYU in 1996. Robert Kingsley grew up in the Washington, DC area, where he watched his mother build a strong real estate business over 30 years. In 2002, he graduated from Salisbury State University with a BFA in graphic design. In 2005, Robert moved to Myrtle Beach. Robert and Kristin make good use of their creative thinking skills and talent, as well as their real estate experience, in helping their clients achieve their real estate goals. Both Robert and Kristin feel extremely lucky to live and work in such a beautiful community as The Grand Strand.

At the time this comment was made, approximately a year ago, mortgage rates were closer to 7%.

Despite how things may feel at the moment, all data indicates buyer demand is on the rise. This is partly due to both rising inventory causing price acceleration to slow, and the softening of interest rates improving affordability.

Homes are remaining on the market longer, but that is not necessarily a bad thing nor to be unexpected. What this recent market shift creates is a better environment for negotiations. As buyer demand increases though, that environment could change because when homes begin to sell faster, prices could begin to accelerate faster, as well, eliminating one of two factors making homes more affordable at the moment than they have been for quite some time.
