This is what greets every guest at our Savannah Shores condo: parking permit, sunscreen, snacks, and a few branded extras that make the place feel taken care of.

A water heater on the third floor gave out without warning and flooded our first-floor unit below. No amount of maintenance planning stops that kind of disaster. It just happens, and then you’re the one standing in it. That torn-up floor and gutted kitchen in the photo is what was left. The photo next to it is that same kitchen today, fully furnished and booked on Airbnb.

We started Old Colony Living as owners, not managers. We’ve done the demo work, the late-night maintenance calls, the guest turnovers, and the “why is nothing working” moments. So when we say we know what it takes to run a rental, it’s because we’ve lived it.
