When visiting Sunset Renaissance be sure to keep your eyes out for turtle tracks they are nesting close by. Please report the nest so we can let SCUTE do their work and move the next if needed to safe higher ground

I emailed the marine corps to get an answer on when they would coming to us and this Is what they said …

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for reaching out! We anticipate work beginning on Surfside/Garden City by the second week of July. Work will likely begin in the northern portion of Surfside/Garden City and then move to the south. The Myrtle Beach Resort area is included within the current renourishment project and is part of the Surfside/Garden City reach. Work in the area you are referencing is set to take place from early July and be completed around the first week of August. Please note, factors such as weather, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen delays can affect the construction schedule.

For the most up-to-date information, please visit our Myrtle Beach Renourishment project website and construction tracker. The tracker is updated daily and identifies which sections of the beach are currently under construction, temporarily closed, open, or completed.
