C&D Lumber. Great People. Great Products. Great Customers. This has been a tagline for as long as any of us can remember and to this final day, it remains true.
Since the announcement of our closure, we have had the chance to speak with many of our long-time customers who became our friends… and who will remain friends. We are grateful for the kind words and support as we finalize the details that come with closing a business whose products made it possible to outlast its competitors by far… while also keeping its people and customers first.
Today is our final day in shipping and sales. Before we go, we want to share the silver linings that come with this change in the career paths for our sales and shipping team.
Lee: Lee is excited to join Hat Creek Lumber as Sales Manager. With extensive experience in the lumber industry, Lee is committed to ensuring a seamless transition for his customers. Leslie: After 16 years with C&D, Leslie will be taking a well-deserved break to spend time with family and recharge. During this time, she will explore career opportunities that align with her skills and interests. Leslie is excited about the potential paths ahead and the chance to find a role that matches her expertise and aspirations.
Elisa: Elisa is pivoting from her role at C&D to offer her skills as a freelance social media and digital marketing consultant. Passionate about the lumber industry, Elisa aims to help businesses in this field enhance their online visibility and engagement. Her services encompass comprehensive digital marketing strategies, including social media planning, content development, and email marketing. Tommy: Tommy has joined Billboard Lumber Company as their Inventory and Production Supervisor. Tommy is eager to bring his expertise to Billboard Lumber Company and contribute to its success.
Kennette: Kennette is embracing a new challenge as the Accounts Receivable and Credit Clerk with Swanson Group. With her extensive experience in the lumber industry and customer service experience, Kennette will be an asset to the Swanson Group.
Steven: Steven acquired his CDL and is embarking on a new career path as a truck driver for South Umpqua Disposal. He is excited to support the business and its success.
