I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. We spent Christmas Eve with both sides of the family and we even got to see both sides of the family on Christmas Day as well. We ate plenty of treats (Morty included) and we are feeling ready to take on 2022!

How is it ❄️December❄️ already?!

There’s a few new faces around here, so I’d love to take a moment to (re)introduce myself and hit you with some fun facts! 👋🏼

I’m Monica Wenger, a real estate agent in Boise and I love helping people who feel like homeownership is just out of reach. I’m a planner and problem-solver by nature, so I’m in it for the long haul with my clients.

Random facts:
🌟 I listen to podcasts and audiobooks almost exclusively in the car. I love music but I only listen to it when I clean. The exception to all of this: Christmas music 🎄
🌟I’m a drink hoarder and typically have 2-4 different kinds of drinks within reach at any point. Coffee, regular water, and LaCroix are all on rotation throughout the day. Are they maybe still half full? I’ll never tell 🙊
🌟I love fluffing the Christmas tree. I think most people only do it out of necessity before decorating, but it’s one of my favorite things to do 😆
🌟I love Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day. It just feels so much more calm and intimate than Christmas Day. I also got engaged on Christmas Eve, so I think it will be a forever favorite of mine.

I know my job is to help people move, but I just made an exciting move myself! I’ve switched brokerages and I am now part of the JPAR Live Local family.
When you meet people that feel like your people, you GO FOR IT! I’m looking forward to the opportunities this move will bring for growing myself and my business.

Looking at buying a house next year? Let’s chat!

I will say this until you’re tired of hearing it and then I’ll say it again. You need to start planning NOW! If you’re looking at buying, it can take 6-12 months to get your ducks in a row to be ready. This involves meeting with a lender to determine where you’re at and figure out how to get you where you want to be - do you need to pay off debt? Does your credit score need help? Do you need to look into adding additional income to qualify? Do you have enough saved for a down payment and closing costs? These are all big questions that need answered prior to walking through any homes.

Then we work on figuring out your must-haves and wants, ideal locations, deal breakers, etc. That’s the fun stuff, but it’s important to have the other things in line first so you’re ready when we find the perfect house. Don’t worry…we’ll make the planning part fun too! I’m always down to help you plan your homeowner ship dreams with some White Claws or a glass of wine 😉

It’s all in the details. If you’ve ever purchased a home, you know that getting those keys in your hands in a process, and there are moments in that process where you’re wondering if it’s all going to work out. It takes a group of people working together to make it happen, and in some deals, it’s easier than others. I love that I get to work with so many different people in this job - my clients, the other agent/broker, inspectors, appraisers, escrow officers, loan officers, transaction coordinators, etc. We really do all work together to make your dreams come true. My mentality is collaboration over competition. This is incredibly important in a fast-paced market with a lot of competition between buyers for homes and agents for listings. At the end of the day, it’s about my clients. My job is to help empower your next move and my focus is to help you get the most out of the experience. What do you look for in a realtor?
