It’s all in the details!

This space embraces color, pattern, and personality in a way that feels playful, layered, and completely intentional. From bold upholstery and colorful accents to an eclectic mix of patterns and textures, every element brings something unique to the room without competing for attention.

Rather than keeping the palette restrained, Melanie Gowen Design leaned into color, using it to create energy and establish a sense of joy throughout the space. Patterns are layered thoughtfully, with each one adding dimension while still complementing the next. The result is a room that feels vibrant and collected, yet cohesive.

We love how the mix of colors and patterns gives this space its own identity. Woven textures bring warmth, unexpected color combinations add character, and carefully selected furnishings keep the room feeling sophisticated beneath all of the playfulness.

Pattern, texture, and layers come together to create a space that feels both collected and inviting.

This room is a beautiful example of how a thoughtful mix of materials can bring depth and personality to an interior. From the delicate patterned wallpaper to the warm wood trim and soft blue and white furnishings, every element works together to create a palette that feels timeless without feeling predictable.

This room is a study in balance, layering soft, inviting furnishings with natural materials, thoughtful architectural details, and carefully selected accents that give the space its own sense of character.
