I’m truly honored to serve on the Board of the Napa Farmers Market and to be part of an organization that means so much to our community. Our farmers markets are about so much more than fresh, locally grown food. We bring people together, support our local farmers and small businesses, and create a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. I’m especially proud of the work being done through our food assistance programs to help address food insecurity and make fresh, nutritious food more accessible to members of our community.

Thank you to the Napa County Board of Supervisors for recognizing Napa County Farmers Market Week and the important role farmers markets play throughout our Valley. To highlight this important contribution, the Board of Supervisors today proclaimed August 2-8 as Napa County Farmers Market Week. The community is urged to support the Calistoga, Kaiser Napa, Long Meadow Ranch, Napa, St. Helena, and Yountville Farmers Markets and their mission to support local farmers and provide inclusive places for the entire community to purchase farm-fresh produce, specialty foods, and artisan goods directly from the source.

A few years ago, I met these clients at an open house and had the privilege of representing them in the purchase of this home. With their children now grown and embarking on their own college adventures, it was time to say goodbye. Helping them buy this home years ago was special. Helping them sell it has been even more meaningful.
