You've heard me talk about the changes that will be taking place as a result of the National Association of Realtors settlement in the Sitzer-Burnett lawsuit. Well, today is the day those changes take effect!

So what's changing? Let me break it down for you:

1️⃣ Real estate agents will be required to have a signed buyers agency agreement prior to viewing any property

2️⃣ Buyers agent commissions, also known as cooperating commissions, will no longer be permitted to be published in the Multiple Listing Service; rather, they will need to be negotiated into the transaction.

🎉 Huge congrats to my amazing clients, Steph and Mike, on the purchase of their first home! This closing was over a year in the making, as they were searching in a VERY competitive price range with limited options. We discovered this perfectly updated 3 bed, 2.5 bath home in Oswego and it was just what they were looking for. The seller had already accepted another offer (before allowing time for hardly anyone to see it!) but with some Realtor magic, we were able to put together an offer with more favorable terms. After some careful negotiations, we got it accepted! 📝🤝
