He looks at it from this point of view- when he is the buyer’s agent he has time to schedule maybe 6-8 homes to show his buyer that day. He makes this determination based off of the buyer’s criteria but also which homes look like they will show the best in person based of their photos. When it’s your home, he knows your photos need to be stunning and present your home online as a ‘stand out’ home that buyers must see! He wants every buyer’s agent to include your home in their showing list that first weekend. As a former interior designer, Mark brings a studied and unique perspective to readying your home for the market. In addition, he often brings his wife Mary in to advise on the female perspective or as it is better known in their home ‘the right perspective.’ Kidding aside, Mark works tirelessly to be sure that your home is ready to hit the market at full speed. He analyzes carefully each negotiation and creatively finds what combination of factors will make both parties want to move forward to enact a successful and lasting deal. He always takes the time and effort to be sure that his clients are happy with the end result and treats each client’s home the way he would his own investment. Buying your next Home

While there are a huge number of home search websites out there that buyers use, the MLS is sill the most accurate and up to date information. Mark begins your search by speaking with you, listening carefully and determining what your specific needs are for your next home. He then sends you everything on the MLS that meets your criteria, empowering you with as much information as possible to make strong informed decisions. He is adept at working with multi generations for any type of home purchase. Whether moving up, first time buying, looking to reduce your space, or wanting something as specific as a first floor master bedroom, Mark listens to your needs and wants and finds your next home. Moves are often all about life transitions. He understands that these can be fun and joyful or at times challenging. He helps you navigate these transitions as easily as possible and keeps your home search on track. Life in Wheaton

When’s the last time you found out what your home is actually worth? Not an online estimate. Not your neighbor’s sale price. Your home, in today’s market.

For many homeowners, it’s been years, and the number may surprise you. The typical homeowner with a mortgage now has about $310,500 in equity.

That equity could give you more options than you realize. It may help you put more down on your next home, lower the amount you need to finance, make a cash purchase possible, or even fund improvements to the home you already love.

If higher prices or mortgage rates have made you put your plans on hold, it may be worth looking at the whole picture before deciding a move isn’t possible.

Curious what your home is worth and how much equity you may be sitting on? Send me a message and I’ll put together a personalized Home Equity Assessment for you. 🏡

There’s no better compliment than having clients trust you with both sides of their real estate journey.

Helping my clients sell their home and then find the right one to purchase was a privilege—and hearing that they felt supported and cared for throughout the process means everything.

Hard work, responsiveness, and making the experience as seamless as possible will always be at the heart of how I do business.

Waiting for mortgage rates to drop before making a move? You may be waiting longer than you think.

Current forecasts show rates staying relatively steady, and while today’s rates may feel high compared to a few years ago, they’re actually much closer to historical norms.

The good news? Waiting isn’t your only option.

Builder incentives, rate buydowns, adjustable-rate mortgages, and assumable loans are all worth exploring depending on your situation.

If buying a home is on your mind, let’s look at what’s possible now instead of putting your plans on hold for a rate that may or may not come.

Send me a message—I’m always happy to talk through your options.

The market continues to show steady movement with more inventory, rising home values, and buyers who are still actively making moves.

🏡 1,902 homes available (+2%)
💰 Median sales price: $415K (+2%)
🔑 644 homes sold

Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or simply curious what these trends mean for your neighborhood, I’d be happy to help you make sense of today’s market.

Thinking about buying or selling? Here’s what the latest numbers are telling us:

🏡 3,345 homes available ⬆️ 7% from last month
💰 Median sales price: $480,000 ⬆️ 4%
🔑 1,171 homes sold ⬆️ 21%

More homes are hitting the market, but buyer demand is staying strong. With sales up 21% month-over-month and prices continuing to rise, well-priced homes are still attracting serious buyers.

Whether you’re planning a move this year or just curious what your home could be worth in today’s market, now is a great time to start the conversation.

The market continues to evolve, creating opportunities for both buyers and sellers.

📈 Available inventory increased 10% month over month, giving buyers more homes to choose from.
📉 The median sales price dipped slightly to $407,000, down 1% from May.
📈 Closed sales rose 15%, showing that motivated buyers are still actively making moves.

What does this mean?

A slight increase in inventory and a small adjustment in pricing are creating a healthier, more balanced market. Well-priced homes continue to attract strong interest, while buyers are benefiting from having more options and greater negotiating power.

Whether you’re considering buying, selling, or simply want to know what these trends mean for your neighborhood, I’d be happy to help.

buyers have disappeared? Think again. 👀🏡

The headlines may say the housing market has slowed, but the data tells a different story.

More homes are going under contract today than they were at this time over the past two years. While buyers are taking a more thoughtful approach, they’re still making moves—especially those who have been waiting for the “perfect” time and have realized life can’t always wait for lower interest rates.

What does that mean for sellers?

It means buyers are still out there, but they’re looking for homes that are priced correctly, well-prepared, and strategically marketed. In today’s market, the right plan matters more than ever.

If you’ve been wondering whether now is the right time to sell, let’s talk about what’s happening in your neighborhood and create a strategy that helps you make the most of today’s market.

🏡 “I’m waiting for home prices to come down.”

It’s one of the most common things I hear from buyers right now.

And I understand why. No one wants to feel like they’re buying at the top of the market.

But here’s what many buyers don’t realize: the vast majority of housing experts aren’t predicting a crash.

In fact, most forecasts call for home prices to continue rising over the next several years—just at a more normal pace than we’ve seen in the past.

Could some individual markets see adjustments? Absolutely.

But if you’re waiting for a major nationwide price drop, you may end up paying more later for the same home while missing out on years of potential equity growth.

The truth is, real estate is local. What’s happening nationally doesn’t always reflect what’s happening in your neighborhood.

If you’re wondering whether it makes sense to buy now or wait, let’s have a conversation about what’s happening in our local market and how it impacts your goals.
