The Day I Chose Love Over Fear ❤️🐾

I have always been afraid of Pit Bulls. Every time I saw one, I would instinctively cross to the other side of the sidewalk. I think that fear came from everything I had seen and read in the media. 😔

But today, on International Dog Day, I did something I never imagined I would do.

Through the Fetch a Friend program run by DuPage County Animal Services, DuPage County Animal Services I took Chase, a Pit Bull, out of the shelter for a few hours. 🐾❤️

And as I sat with him, I realized something heartbreaking: Chase doesn’t know what the media says about dogs like him. He only knows love, trust, and the hope that someone will give him a chance.

Today, Chase taught me that sometimes we have to get close to what we fear before we realize there was nothing to be afraid of.

The lucky person who gets to adopt 9 months old Chase will be incredibly blessed. ❤️🐾 One dog has already changed the way I see an entire breed, and I know he will change the life of whoever is lucky enough to give him a forever home.

On International Dog Day, I hope we can open our hearts before we judge a soul by its label. ❤️🐶

Please look beyond the breed. Look into their eyes. There is a heart there, too.

A Closing That Means More Than a Closing ❤️🐾

Some transactions close with a signature. Others close with a commission check. And some remind you why you do what you do.

A month ago, I crossed paths with Burcu, who has dedicated her life to rescuing abandoned dogs. She left her life in Istanbul behind, took her animals with her, bought a container and a small piece of land in the middle of nowhere, and started over—not for herself, but for them. ❤️

From this closing, I chose to donate 250 kg (552 lbs) of dog food to help feed her rescued animals for an entire month.

250 kg may sound like just a number, but to me it means hundreds of meals, full bowls, wagging tails, and one less month of worry for Burcu who has sacrificed so much for animals who cannot speak for themselves. 🐾

I’ve always believed that success isn’t only about what we earn, but what we choose to do with what we have.

I believe in kindness. I believe in karma. And I believe that when we have the ability to help, we should.

Today, a part of this closing will go directly into the bowls of animals who deserve a second chance. And that makes this closing feel like so much more than a transaction. ❤️🐶🐱

Sometimes changing a life simply starts with choosing not to look away. ❤️🐾

I’m part of a wonderful program called Fetch a Friend, with DuPage County Animal Services where you can take a shelter dog out for a couple of hours and give them a little taste of freedom. That’s how I met Valkyrie. ❤️

She is the sweetest girl, and I honestly can’t understand how she has been dropped off at the shelter twice. She is full of energy, loves being outside, and absolutely LOVES her walks. The Fetch a Friend program is designed to give shelter dogs a break from kennel life and help people see their personalities outside the shelter.

Valkyrie is looking for someone who will truly match her energy and give her the life she deserves. She would thrive with a big, secure yard and/or someone who enjoys lots of walks, adventures, and outdoor time.

She has so much love to give. I just want to see her finally find the person who will say, “You’re home. You’re never going back.” ❤️🐾

Please help me find Valkyrie her forever home. She deserves nothing less.❤️

Today I learned that I ranked in the Top 5% in Illinois for 2025 closed sales volume, out of 81,500 licensed real estate professionals in the state. ❤️🧿

When I look at this recognition, I don’t just see a number. I see all the hard work, long days, open houses, challenges, and the people who trusted me along the way.

As an immigrant, a mother of two, and someone who has had to start over more than once in life, nothing about this journey came easy. It was built one conversation, one client, and one transaction at a time.

Along the way, I have met some amazing people who supported me, believed in me, and helped me grow both personally and professionally. I am truly grateful for every one of you. ❤️
