Hello everyone! I want to share some important changes in the real estate world that might affect you if you are buying or selling a home.
Agent Commissions Are Negotiable: The fee paid to real estate agents is not set by law—it is negotiable.
New Rules Starting TODAY August 17th:
For Buyers: If you want to see a home listed on MLS, you will need to have a buyer-broker agreement in place first. This agreement will outline how your agent is paid.
For Sellers: Buyers now may ask if you are offering compensation to their agent before they even view your home. Offering compensation can help you attract more buyers.
What This Means for You: As a seller, offering compensation to the buyer's agent can help ensure your home gets seen by the most potential buyers. If you are a buyer, you will have more transparency about how your agent is paid.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I'm here to help you navigate these changes and be there for you when you are ready to sell or find your dream home here in Southwest Florida!
Thanks for trusting me with your real estate needs. I would love the opportunity to work with you!
