Sea Turtle Nesting Season Update: Celebrating Our Impact 🐢

Making A Positive Impact By Doing Our Part

To date, our reports are showing a higher number of nests compared to false crawls, and your cooperation is a big reason why. On one of the City’s beaches, what started as 25 lighting compliance cases has dwindled to just three – a testament to the effort and care shown by our community.

A darker shoreline, combined with the City’s ongoing dune restoration (more on this below) and the natural regrowth of vegetation, is creating a safer environment for nesting sea turtles.

Police Blotter Report: March 2026

During the period from March 1 to March 31, 2026, the Naples Police Department responded to a total of 396 calls for service within the GSAC community.

These calls included both criminal and non-criminal matters, reflecting the wide range of assistance provided by the police.

GSAC Soars with the NPD Soaring Eagles Youth Leadership Academy

The summer of 2025 marked the inaugural year of the Naples Police Department's Soaring Eagles Youth Leadership Academy. Created to foster leadership, discipline, and positive relationships between local youth and law enforcement, the program quickly became a cornerstone of community outreach.

Through hands-on activities, mentoring, and team-building exercises, participants gain valuable life skills while developing trust and respect for those who serve and protect the community.

“Charles of the Terraces”, Thank You!

On a cool breezy winter day while walking the Boulevard along Venetian Bay, I noticed a gentleman walking in front of me who appeared to be picking up litter.

As I approached him, I saw that's exactly what he was doing. I stopped for a moment, introduced myself, and thanked him for caring so much about our neighborhood.

What Are These Concrete Structures?

The three concrete bases (plinths) that have recently been placed near 4400 GSBN form the foundation for a wonderful commissioned sculpture by the nationally recognized artist Herb Babcock that will be installed in the months ahead.

Following a dedication in the fall, the sculpture will be donated to the City of Naples for its public art collection.

Opponents of the proposed Clam Pass Cove waterpark at Naples Grande Resort received a significant boost last week in their efforts to safeguard property values and maintain their quality of life.

On April 17, the Pelican Bay Foundation (PBF) filed an administrative appeal to challenge Collier County’s Official Interpretation (OI), which would permit the waterpark to proceed without a Planned Unit Development (PUD) amendment.

The Harbour Dr - Crayton Road roundabout project has encountered a series of delays since its approval by the City Council in March. City Engineer Alison Bickett had originally anticipated that the construction contract would be approved by Council in June, allowing work to commence during the summer months.

However, additional design modifications requested by property owners adjacent to the roundabout have stalled progress and disrupted the project timeline.

As a starting point, and where there seems to be confusion, GSAC has no ownership interest in the beach-walk and thus has no governing authority or financial interest.

Police Blotter Report: February 2026

Naples Police Department reports a total of 300 calls for service from the GSAC community during the period February 1, 2026, to February 28, 2026. The majority (137) were extra patrols. There were 45 medical emergencies and 30 unknown problems.

When will Publix Neopolitan Way open?

Our local Neopolitan Way Publix was closed on November 30, 2024, and shortly thereafter, the store was demolished to make way for a new store.

After months of construction, it appears the new grocery store is nearing completion, with even the landscaping recently planted.
