There’s nothing glamorous about a full house repipe project. Trust me… sitting in your own home while walls are opened up, floors are cut into, dust is everywhere, and plumbing crews are working around you is not exactly anyone’s idea of fun. 😅

But sometimes homeownership means making proactive decisions before a small issue becomes a major surprise.

So many of our neighbors have experienced unexpected plumbing leaks from aging pipes running through the concrete slab foundations in our community. After hearing story after story - water damage, emergency repairs, torn-up floors, insurance headaches, and months of disruption - we decided we would rather tackle this on our terms (and pocket book) than be forced into it during a crisis.

Is it messy? Absolutely.
Stressful? Yep.
Worth it for peace of mind? We certainly hope so.

One thing this experience has reminded me of is how important it is to understand the age, infrastructure, and long-term maintenance realities of a home and community - especially here in Florida where many neighborhoods are reaching an age where larger preventative projects start becoming more common. Especially those of us who live closer to the Gulf which often means older homes since that area was built out first.

For now… we survive on patience, and reminding ourselves this chaos is temporary. ☕😂

Congratulations to Bill & Michele!

Sometimes in real estate you get the privilege of working with certain clients more than others… but how about clients who are now on their 6th home with me? Yep (double that for the purchase and sale) and that’s how many homes I’ve had the honor of helping this couple buy and sell over the years.

And the best part? They still claim me as family. 😊

For Memorial Day, I am taking a moment to pause and reflect on the true meaning behind this day. While many of us gather with family, enjoy the sunshine, or spend time with friends, Memorial Day exists because brave men and women made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, selflessness, and commitment created the freedoms and opportunities we often enjoy without a second thought. That sacrifice extends far beyond those who served - it is also carried by the families who loved them and continue to honor their memory.

As someone who helps people find not just houses but places to build memories, raise families, and create a life they love, I am especially grateful for those who gave everything so we could have that privilege.

I encourage everyone to enjoy the day - but also take a quiet moment to remember why we have it.

To all who have lost someone in service to our country - we remember, we honor, and we thank you.
