Quantum Fiber Install Update

The Quantum Fiber installation started yesterday in building 15130 and went just as planned. Today, however, Quantum ran into some difficulty. Where the old coax cable has been found in every other unit around our community, was not found in the second-floor units in building 15126 and 15122. Quantum needs to bring in some additional equipment tomorrow to help locate the wires for the second-floor units.

As a result, we are not going to be able to keep the aggressive installation timeline we had hoped. As tomorrow plays out, we will have a better understanding of the impact on our timeline.

Quantum is only scheduling Building 15118 as new for Thursday as they work to find the wires and complete Building 15126 and 15118. Building 15114 WILL NOT start on Thursday.

residents, if you must do laundry or run the dishwasher, please do it today. Starting tomorrow and Friday, reduce your water use. This will help our wastewater system handle the extra rainwater and storm surge. Let’s all do our part to keep things flowing smoothly!

They do so much to take care of kitties in need. With DAS intake closed for so long, they took on even more. Please help fund a much needed expansion to this amazing no kill shelter.
