Did you know the Tramway De Nice connects the airport, city center, old town, beaches and many neighborhoods?

I was staying near the Parc Phoenix stop and took it multiple times (line 2 and 3) to do go grocery shopping and go to the laundromat. I also took it to explore the old town which is a must do! It’s super cheap- 1.8 € each way and it runs like every 5 or 10 minutes. You can buy tickets at any station and when you board you just scan your card.

My favorite part is that it runs right through the center of town and in many places the rails are located in between grass like outside the airport. It is truly the best way to get around and feel like a local.

Did you go to or watch the inaugural race in Madrid?

I was fortunate to be there in person and let me tell you it was a full weekend of racing on this brand new track and it was an awesome circuit to see in person.

Being my first European race I have ever attended I was really looking forward to the experience. This circuit really delivered on ease of getting to and from it and it had a jam packed schedule for F1, and F3 races.

Seeing these cars on TV doesn’t really do them any justice- they are so fast! I was in the grandstands at turn 4 so I was able to see the cars came out of the the long straight and have a hard brake than a quick chicane at turn five and was lucky enough to see an over take (Lawson over taking Gasly)

There’s something about the sound, the smell and sights of these race cars that can only really be appreciated in person.

85° and 1000% percent humidity

August is the hardest month in SW Florida to not only run but to do anything outside. We have already been thru 4 months of 90° + temps and we have about 2 or 3 more months to go.

These runs are to keep me fit and ready for race season. First one up is a 10K in November.

It was another hot and humid week in SW Florida but I decided to get 3 runs in for the week for a little over 10 miles for the week. This puts me at 263 for the year. My annual goal is to run 365 miles for the year and at this point I could exceed that goal by around mid September. I’m not planning to push myself in these summer conditions. I just enjoy the quiet mornings to myself knowing that I am getting stronger with every step. For me running is not about the pace or the speed. It’s about the consistently, for making myself show up on run days I don’t want to and to prove to myself that I can do hard things and I can set hard goals.

I finally got around to hang my running medals. They represent motivation for me and memories of the hard things I have done and can do. There are 5ks, 4 miler, 10ks, 7 milers, birthday runs, conquering fear runs and half marathons mixed here along with medals that are more important to me when I was able to run along with my wife and kids and along with my brother. There are still a lot of empty slots to fill. After summer, my goals and races will be set once we get back into race season when the temperatures start to cool down.

A SW Florida appreciate post. Sometimes in summer in the heat and in the humidity we hunker down too much and don’t get out enough to appreciate where we live.

Having been a Naples resident since 2012 I have learned to appreciate the 2 seasons we get : Winter and Rainy season. Winter is perfect weather, blue skies and busy roads, stores and restaurants and tourists (which provide a big source of my annual income). Summer is storms, preparing for storms, heat and humidity and quiet time where locals get back out and appreciate that we live where many vacation. Tonight was a perfect reminder that I

These hybrid engine machines are unbelievably fast. The first time you see one in person it can literally take your breath away.

The back straight at the Miami Grand Prix has the best viewing spot to watch these cars and drivers drive at over 200 MPH as they are flat out and they are only 10 yards away from you!
