I am very passionate about adding quality to the lives of others. For 10 years I pursued a culinary career as a sous chef in 5 Star restaurants in Manhattan. Essentially, the sous chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation in a kitchen. This involved a large degree of supervising other kitchen staff, as well as keeping an eye out for problems that arise in the kitchen and seiz
ing control of a situation at a moment’s notice. Later I turned my business toward catering private parties of 50-150 people. My greatest satisfaction came from bringing enjoyment to people, but the heat of battle in the kitchen, sending out dishes that didn't come back, and the fulfillment of a job well done was very satisfying. A family tragedy lead to a career specialty of oncology/hematology pharmacy. I became very interested in how, as in cooking, using the proper amounts of just the right ingredients could bring help to and lessen the suffering of dying patients. I have been personally touched by looking into the face of a sick child and see hope and optimism in their eyes because of the help I was able to give them. During the 15 years of interacting with patients, some terminal, I heard countless stories of the things that worried them. Beyond the concerns they had for their children, spouses, work and the expense of treatment, patients often talked about the impact of the real estate market crash and how it would affect their ability to make necessary housing adjustments. The physical demands of my job became impossible after an injury, and since I had always had respect for the real estate profession and understanding what an important role a Realtor plays in both the good times and bad in peoples lives, I decided to focus my career on real estate. I felt that I could somehow do better than I had seen others do in providing first rate care in the process of buying or selling a home. For me, it's about helping others achieve their goals with the same kind of passion and urgency they feel.
