Not all home inspections are the same.

There is much more to inspecting a heating and cooling system than operation of the thermostat to verify that the system works.

I know I have said this before;

I can perform home energy evaluations.
Scan exterior wall surfaces, includes wall openings. This determines air leakage and infiltrations.

Evaluate plumbing for leaks.

Inspect heating systems for design flaws. Can evaluate the overall condition of the system.

Heat loss calculation presently and if changes need to be made that could affect those calculations. Reduce heat loss, improve comfort and save energy.

Pointers on indoor air quality.

Improvement review to save on energy consumption.

Fee subject to the size and scope of the property. Generally time to do the evaluation is 2 to 3 hours on a average size home.

How to improve the air in your home.

Inspect the forced air furnace filter monthly. Install a good quality pleated, throwaway filter.
I recommend professional duct cleaning at five year intervals. Have your duct system scoped. You will be surprised.

Introduce outside air through the return air duct system. 40 to 50 CFM. This can be easily accomplished.

Install a UV air purifier. Place at the supply air plenum or the return air drop. On most systems this can be installed in one hour. But can take longer.

Recently Vicars Heating and Airconditioning installed a Honeywell UV 2400U air purifier with Air Bright Oder absorption on my HVAC system. I call it the Covd killer.
