8 years ago, I packed up my life in Chicago and followed something I couldn’t quite explain — a pull, a feeling, a quiet knowing that Nashville was where I was supposed to be.

I didn’t have all the answers. I just had the nudge. And I followed it.

And in 8 years, this city has given me everything.

I left a toxic relationship. I met the love of my life. We got married. We bought a home. I bought my first car (on my own). I walked away from a career I loved and found the courage to bet on myself — building two businesses and a professional networking community that I am so proud of.

I got back into triathlons. I hike more. I travel more. I live more fully than I ever have.

And through all of it — the seasons of joy and the ones that brought me to my knees — Nashville held me. I survived a pandemic. I survived a tornado. I said goodbye to a fur baby who left a paw-print on my heart forever. I welcomed two new ones who fill our home with chaos and love. I lost my uncle. I lost my grandma. And I hold on a little tighter to my grandpa every chance I get.

Life here has not been perfect. The good, the bad, the in-between — I am grateful for all of it.

Because it was never a coincidence. It was fate that brought me here.
