Meet your new neighbors: two Southwest pilots relocating to Nashville to be based out of BNA — and as of this week, under contract on their new home. ✈️🔑

They found me through a referral from another Southwest pilot family I helped relocate here. Add in the fact that my own son flies for Southwest too, and this one felt extra full circle — pilot family #4 I've had the privilege of helping land in the Nashville area. 🛬

Their non-negotiable was simple — close enough to the airport that crew life doesn't eat into family time, but still home for dinner most nights. We toured neighborhoods all over the area, but this new construction home in Mt. Juliet was the very first one they saw… and it never left their minds.

The open kitchen built for gathering. A deck that opens straight onto a wall of trees. A backyard big enough to actually use. And enough room to host everyone who flies in to visit (which, with these two, won't be a problem). 😉

An underrated gift for someone moving to Nashville to be near their grown children?

A neighborhood that gives you a life of your own, too.
Yes, it’s wonderful to be close enough for ballgames, birthdays, and Sunday dinners.

But the happiest moves often happen when people create a lifestyle they love beyond family gatherings.
Morning walks.
New friends.
A favorite coffee shop.
A golf game.
A volunteer opportunity.
A dinner spot where they know your name.

The best move isn’t just about finding a house.
It’s about creating a life that feels full, connected, and exciting in this next chapter.

Because being near the people you love is important.
Loving where you live matters too. 🏡

Your friends are visiting Nashville for 2 days… where are you taking them?

My vote:
*Nashville Yards for the energy.
*Hooky for something fun and easy.
*Rolf and Daughters for dinner.
*The Listening Room for live music.
*Twelve Thirty Club for a little downtown moment.

Because Nashville is so much more than Broadway.

It’s food, music, neighborhoods, and the places that make people say, “Okay, I get why you love it here.”

One of the things I love most about Nashville is that there are so many ways to start finding your rhythm again:
