3 years ago, I helped the Athens family find their Nolensville home when they relocated to Middle Tennessee from the Chicago area (Naperville). Earlier this year I was honored help them close that chapter too — selling that same home as they head back to be closer to family. 💛

63 doesn’t feel like starting over. It feels like finally knowing myself.
Knowing what matters.
Knowing who my people are.
Knowing that community, joy, and a full life don’t belong to one specific age.
This season looks like grown kids around my table, new memories, work I genuinely enjoy, deeper friendships and a life that feels really, really good.
I think that’s one of the gifts of getting older. You stop chasing what looks good from the outside and start paying attention to what actually feels good on the inside.
And for me, this season feels like gratitude, confidence, connection, and a whole lot of joy.
My life is really good and I’m happy about it!

There’s something really powerful about watching the kids you once carried through everything grow up and still choose to be close to you.
This birthday wasn’t about anything extravagant. It was homemade pasta, my grown kids and one of those moments that quietly says everything.
I raised them with a whole lot of love and not nearly enough help. Now I get to sit around the table with the very people who have always been my whole world.
And that might be one of the greatest gifts of this season of life.🤍

Turns out, the things I’m best at all have one thing in common: knowing what makes life feel a little more fun, a little more connected and a lot more like home.
Sometimes that’s booking the trip. Sometimes it’s knowing exactly where to get the cocktail. And sometimes it’s finding your people when you need them most.
Nashville has given me a lot of all three. 🍸✈️🤍
