You see the mural. You see the bold colors. You think, okay, cool Airbnb. And then you walk through the door and realize the photos actually undersold it.

The mushroom wallpaper in emerald and rust. The velvet. The balcony with Nashville stretched out below. Green astroturf under your feet. Your friends are already calling dibs on beds before the door closes behind you.

There is something about waking up above a city that hasn't quite started yet. ☀️

Coffee on the table. Nashville stretching out below. The sun hasn't found Broadway yet — that happens around 9, when the first tourists start wandering and the honky-tonks are still quiet from the night before.

But up here, it's already golden. 🌆

This is what summer in Music City looks like from the 11th floor at Broadway Bliss. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a high-top with the whole skyline as company, and the kind of slow morning that makes you forget you have anywhere to be.

Reading entries like this in our Gulch Grandeur guest book and trying not to cry 🥹💜

"Thank you so much for this amazing stay. This was one of the best trips for us. We celebrated a couple birthdays that we are going to cherish and hold and be able to tell to our children one day. Quality was for sure a 10 out of 10." ✨

Some weeks hosting is really hard. You get a tough review and start questioning everything... am I doing this right?

Then a day like today happens. You flip through a little spiral notebook and realize you helped create a core memory for someone's birthday that they'll tell their future kids about.

The Gulch gets it right in a way that downtown Nashville just can't replicate. It's walkable, it's gorgeous, and it has this quality that real locals recognize immediately: it actually rewards slowing down. 🏙️

A few of my personal picks for when you're staying in the neighborhood:

☕ Steadfast Coffee — best cortado in the city. Grab a window seat and give yourself permission to take your time.

🥞 Biscuit Love — yes, you've heard of it. It earns every bit of the reputation. Go early or wait in line. Worth it either way.

🎨 The Gulch street art walk — start at 11th and Pine and just walk. The murals change constantly and it's one of the best free things to do in Nashville.

🍻 Silo for dinner — the smash burger has no business being that good.

And when you're done — all of this is walking distance from Gulch Grandeur, our designer unit right in the heart of the neighborhood. Rooftop infinity pool with Nashville skyline views. Cold drink. Nowhere to be. 🌅

Dolly Parton's Threads: My Songs in Symphony is running at the Schermerhorn through July 31 — live vocalists, new orchestrations, and Dolly's own stories narrated on the big screen. They're calling it a limited summer series, but this feels like a once-in-a-lifetime Nashville moment. Tickets at nashvillesymphony.org.
