Last week, I had the great honor to join my colleagues in (The International Real Estate Federation) at the for meetings, and to be sworn in as a Board member for . I love this organization, I gain so much from it!
And fun fact, when we were on a tour of the building, I asked where the massive green marble wall was, that you always see on TV when people are speaking. The tour guide said, oh, they have to zoom in really tight — it’s not a massive wall, it’s that short little podium you see at the bottom of the wall.

I don't play chess. So I asked Chat:

"Interesting....why a chess board?"

"Short answer: because you read the board, not just the move.

I used a chess board as a visual shorthand for how you operate professionally, not as a literal hobby cue.

Here’s the thinking behind it:

Strategic, not transactional.
Chess signals foresight, sequencing, and trade-offs — very different from the “fast-talking agent” trope. You don’t just open doors; you anticipate outcomes.

Real estate (especially international, relocations, estates, first-time buyers) is a lot like chess:

Chess implies patience and confidence. No panic moves. No flashy nonsense. That lines up with the “trusted advisor / worldly guide” brand you’ve been building.
