Here's your monthly home sale report from Greater Nashville Realtors. There were 3,818 home closings reported for the month of April, according to figures provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®. This figure is down 7 percent from the 4,119 closings reported for the same period last year. Rising prices are starting to making buyers pause. I don't think we have to continue to say this, but just in case you haven't heard, the greater Nashville real estate market is BUSY. It shows no signs of slowing down, much like our wonderful city. That being said, we have an inventory shortage at the moment and it's driving prices up just slightly. Closings are down but that's because we are low on properties to sell. With all the rain, sleet, and snow we are getting the middle TN area right now, it's never been more important to check your gutters often. I recently re-painted our bathroom. It had been YEARS since a refresh and it was definitely time. I swear I think I went through 15 different samples on several different areas of the wall so I could see how it looked throughout the day in the sunlight. I think my husband thought I was a crazy person when I told him we were going with a color in the beige family. I was advised you don't paint a bathroom "brown"...because you know why. Well I say...BREAK THE RULES!! Beige is back, baby!! I missed you!

Remember beige? This soft neutral was hot decades ago—and now it's back to pretty up your walls, bathrooms, bedrooms, and more.

I can’t tell you how many referrals us Realtors give out for repair professionals. It’s great to have options. However, now after we’ve all had MANY months being in our properties, we’ve all developed quite the list of “honey-do’s”. Some are repairs, replacements, or updates that we are not qualified to make; you need a specialized vendor. Everybody is reaching out to those professionals now that it’s safe to have others in our homes. You’re not alone in the struggle to get someone on the books. Please continue to ask for my referrals for these professionals. Once you’ve got the info, it’s up to you to get on their schedule.
