While there are still several variables in play for this weekend’s winter storm, it is not to early to be prepared. Strong winds and windchills of -18 are forecast for Saturday, 12/24 and continuing through the weekend. Trends have pointed towards a slower system progression, and a further NW track, pushing snow impacts later into Thursday and Friday. Still too much inconsistency to increase confidence in the amounts and timing of any snowfall.
- Make sure your vehicles have full tanks of gas, add cold weather gear, blankets, snacks and other necessities to make your vehicle winter ready.
- Have enough food and water for all the people and animals in your home. Have a plan to keep warm if you lose power. Make sure you have cell phones fully charged.
- Monitor the forecast and make changes as needed to travel plans.

Eagles Nest Lodge began as a childhood dream many years ago. Multiple family trip to beautiful Brown County inspired a dream to one day own a piece of this glorious land. In 2000, that dream became a reality with the purchase of the land that Eagles Nest Lodge now rests on. Eagles Nest lodge was completed in 2005 with much love and care put into it’s construction.
