For 38 years, Safe Haven has served as the premier shelter-to-housing program in middle Tennessee that accommodates families experiencing homelessness. We love that today is Dolly Day/ Give Like Dolly Day! Dolly Parton showed us that generosity can take many forms. It can open a book, open a door, help someone through a hard season, or give a person the chance to discover what they are capable of achieving.

Give Like Dolly – Middle Tennessee is an invitation to carry on with that kindness. For the next three days, the community can donate through the Community Foundation of Middle TN to nonprofits in the area doing the kind of work that Dolly championed. There are several organizations we partner with on the list, and all are worthy! We recommend donating to the Imagination Library of Middle TN (through United Way of Greater Nashville) as we make sure all of our families with children ages 0-5 are enrolled in that program. And we are also big fans of Pawster as they are a great partner when our families need to foster their pet while we secure housing for them. https://www.giving9to5.com/

These six dancers and their professional dance partners are taking the stage on September 19th to compete for Audience Favorite, Fundraising Favorite and Judges' Favorite and to support Safe Haven's mission. Make sure you get a ticket so you don't miss a single lift or twirl!

Our hearts are with Dolly's family and friends today. ❤️🦋

Through her program, Imagination Library, so many children and families we work with have received free books and begun to build their own home libraries. We are so grateful for Dolly's dedication and care for her community. Her impact and legacy will live on forever.
