For everyone new to my business page: Hi, I’m Riya - The Realtor! My goal is to educate my buyers/sellers to help them make the right decision. I’m not the most active on Social Media. But, here I am hoping to make it a goal of mine for the second quarter to be more active on here and Instagram. Here are some other goals for this coming quarter: helping five families buy or sell homes, getting our backyard ready for this spring & summer, learning to play pickleball, and many walks with Scooby & Dushyant. “You’re in real estate? OMG, I love Selling Sunset and Marriage or Mortgage!”🛑

Yeah… REAL real estate isn’t that drama filled, luxurious TV show you’ve probably binge watched over a pint of ice cream. Sorry to spoil the fun, but we don’t just make a couple calls, land a million dollar listing and walk away with a huge paycheck - although I wouldn’t complain!😉

➡️ We aren’t making the commission amount they’re showing you. If you’re thinking, “Okay, if I sell my home for $ then my real estate agent makes $$” then you don’t know the full picture. That check is divided up between the listing broker, the listing agent, the buyer’s broker, and the buyer’s agent. Out of our cut, we pay business expenses, the assistant/transaction coordinator who also needs to make a living, and 20-30% to taxes. So, think twice before asking your Realtor to cut their commission!

➡️ We aren’t showing beautiful, multi-million dollar properties all day. We show all kinds of houses, big and small! No joke, this week I showed a pristine new construction one hour then headed down the road to a house that posted “Enter At Your Own Risk” on the door (believe me, it was there for a reason.)

➡️ There is SO much more to building our businesses than making a few calls. They make it look so easy, don’t they?! My goodness, I can’t begin to tell you how much time, energy, money and hard work I’ve poured into my business and Im just brushing the surface of my capabilities. I’m not alone when I say, as a real estate agent, I work 9-9 every single day. Even when I’m not on appointments, I am working behind the scenes on paperwork and communicating with my clients.
