Her mother's family is deeply rooted in Belle Meade and is known for contributing to the economic development of both Nashville and the surrounding areas. Personally, she owned Tennessee Walking Horses, American Saddlebred and Quarter Horses. Several cousins have been widely respected in the thoroughbred community having notably ridden on the Steeplechase Circuit.
