Went to the Nashville Antique Show today (still going on tomorrow) at the Fairgrounds. Been looking for a pair of Staffordshire Dogs and found several. I chose these and love them on my mantle 🥰

Stafforshire Dogs are circa 1840’s-1901 (according to the dealer we bought them from). They were made from clay from Stafforshire, England (hence the name) and were modeled after King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, especially Queen Victoria’s dog, Dash. They were traditionally displayed on a mantle or next to the fireplace. Very fun find today😊

I’ve collected dishes & tile trays for years. I’ve been learning more about different categories of antiques and am excited to hunt for new things. Anything you collect that I need to know about???
