Waiving the inspection was done throughout the past year to two years to win the offer during this crazy market! We are seeing that now change, but slowly.

According to CNBC News, nearly 72% of recent homebuyers in 2022 have regrets after buying their new home. Unfortunately, close to half of homebuyers — 43% — made financial concessions amid the fierce competition for homes.

Of their top 3 "moves to avoid regrets when buying a home", waiving an inspection came in at the number one move to avoid. We couldn't agree more!

This Old House Inspection

Fire damage is typical in old houses, however, that fire damage gets mitigated. This house had several areas of fire damaged framing in the attic that was not replaced. This is something I don’t like to see during my inspection for a client.

Neat to see these type safe rooms within homes. This one being heavy gauge steel bolted to the concrete slab, with the option of electrical and air. Excellent feature!
