Ten homes under contract. And somehow, all while helping organize a major music and arts festival.
The last few weeks have been a little wild, in the very best way.

That’s ten buyers and sellers moving forward, ten sets of negotiations, inspections, deadlines, details, and decisions, all while working behind the scenes with an incredible group of people to bring a major community music and arts festival to life.

From Donelson and Nashville to Old Hickory, Hermitage, Hendersonville, Clarksville, and Mount Juliet, real estate has been moving. And apparently, so have I.

I’m incredibly grateful for the clients who trust me with some of the biggest decisions of their lives, and for the opportunity to also pour time and energy into the community I love.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling in Nashville or anywhere around Middle Tennessee, I’d love to help you figure out your next move. Busy doesn’t mean unavailable. It means I know how to get things done! 😉

PRICE IMPROVEMENT! A rare piece of Donelson history, this 1930s storybook cottage makes an unforgettable first impression with its limestone exterior, steeply pitched gables, dormer windows, welcoming red door and covered porch. Set on approximately .63 acres in historic Stanford Estates, once known as Millionaire Row, the home offers 2,739 square feet, five bedrooms and two and a half baths, along with the warmth, craftsmanship and individuality that are nearly impossible to recreate today.

Inside, original newly refinished hardwood floors, wavy-glass windows, vintage doors, substantial millwork and an impressive fireplace preserve the home’s architectural character. The formal living and dining rooms feel gracious yet comfortable, while the updated kitchen brings modern function with quartz countertops, a gas range, subway tile backsplash, abundant cabinetry, pull-out pantry storage and a coffee bar. The adjoining family room creates an easy everyday gathering space without competing with the home’s more formal rooms.

The flexible floor plan offers generous bedrooms, natural light and room for a home office, studio, guest space or multigenerational living. Charming nooks, built-ins and beautiful woodwork give the upper level personality, while the full 1,687 sf unfinished basement provides exceptional storage, workshop space, a storm room and future possibilities. A detached garage adds even more room for hobbies, equipment or projects.

Some closings mean a little more because the story started long before the listing appointment.

I’ve known Holly and her family for almost as long as I’ve been in Donelson. Fourteen years ago, Holly was one of the original vendors at the very first HIP Donelson Farmers Market, selling what I still remember as some of the best cupcakes around. Over the years, we stayed connected as acquaintances through this community we both love.

So, when it came time to sell their home, apparently there was a little debate in the household about who should get the job.

Holly ended it pretty quickly: “No. Michele is selling our house. We need the best.”

That kind of trust means more to me than I can adequately say.

They were selling a wonderful vintage 3-bedroom, 2-bath split-level in Donelson with a gorgeous kitchen and an equally gorgeous yard. Buyers noticed. We had a lot of interest, went under contract very quickly, and thankfully had an exceptionally smooth transaction from beginning to end.

But this closing wasn’t really about leaving a house.

They had the opportunity to purchase a farmhouse that had belonged to Holly’s grandparents, and the timing was finally right. Their boys are grown, they’ve spent years building a life and raising their family, and now they get to do something just for themselves.

We hate to lose good people from Donelson, but there’s something pretty wonderful about watching people you’ve known for years get the chance to go live a dream.

Congratulations, Holly and family. Thank you for trusting me with this chapter. Now go enjoy that farmhouse. You’ve earned it.

Attention Vintage and Historical Home Lovers!

A rare piece of Donelson history, this 1930s storybook cottage makes an unforgettable first impression with its limestone exterior, steeply pitched gables, dormer windows, welcoming red door and covered porch. A detached garage adds even more room for hobbies, equipment or projects.

Outside, mature trees, garden paths, multiple porches and a private landscaped yard create a peaceful setting for gardening, entertaining or simply slowing down at home. Just minutes from downtown Nashville, BNA, I-40, restaurants, parks and everyday conveniences, this is a property that offers both character and connection. Homes with this much history, architectural presence, usable space and soul rarely come to market. This one is truly special. Located in the Stanford Montessori Geographic Priority Zone. Helping first-time buyers is always special, but helping people you already know and root for means even more.

If you know Donelson, there’s a good chance you know Tyler from Ace Hardware. He and Allisza are high school sweethearts who met at our very own McGavock High School, and it meant so much to have them trust me with their first home purchase.

They were thoughtful about what they wanted: an affordable, safe, quality home that didn’t need a mountain of work, but still gave them room to make improvements over time and build equity. Secure parking for Tyler’s beloved Mustang was also high on the list.

Most importantly, they wanted to stay close to their families. Family means everything to these two, and one of my favorite parts of this process was getting to know not just Tyler and Allisza, but the people who love them too.

They found a great home in Hermitage with beautiful hardwood floors, a remodeled kitchen, a wonderful backyard, and thoughtful improvements already made by the previous homeowners. It gives them a strong foundation to enjoy now while still leaving room to make it their own over time.

First-time buyers should ask questions. They should be careful with their hard-earned money. And they should understand how a home purchase can shape both their financial future and their quality of life for years to come. I loved being able to protect their interests, educate them along the way, and help them feel confident in every decision.

Congratulations, Tyler and Allisza. I could not be happier for you both.
