In anticipation of a Fed interest rate cut, average mortgage rates on 30-year fixed home loans fell last week to an 11-month low of 6.35%.

Mortgage rates are the lowest they have been in 2025 @ 6.5% for a 30 yr fixed conventional loan. I know it's not 3% and we will probably never see those again, but in the history of mortgage rates 6.5% is not bad. When I purchased the home I'm in now in 2006 the best rate I could get was 6.75%.

According to a new survey, 22% of potential homebuyers would give up their right to vote in exchange for a 10% down payment. Another 44% are also willing to give up their dream car, while more than a third would give up eating out or vacationing for the next five years.
