A morning walk through Clinton B. Fisk Park in North Nashville, my neighborhood park.

Just a few years ago, many of these trees were gone after the devastating 2020 tornado. Today, new growth stretches toward the sky—a reminder of resilience, renewal, and what can happen when a community comes together.

This park has become part of my daily rhythm: neighbors waving, children playing, basketballs bouncing, and the quiet beauty of watching something damaged heal over time.

Sometimes progress isn't dramatic. Sometimes it's a tree taking root, a neighborhood rebuilding, or simply showing up one day at a time.
