LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE TO HAVE BRUNCH THIS WEEKEND?
Shugga Hi Bakery and Café – 1000 Dickerson Pike. Actually, it was love at first glance of the menu. As an added bonus on Saturday they have the sound of live jazz music playing in the dining room. Two sisters, Kathy and Sandra are the owners. One of the philosophy’s of the café in keeping with their Mama’s tradition is you have a taste of the dessert before the meal. I love that. One of the more popular items on the menu have two words – henny syrup. That’s short for Hennesey syrup. It comes on the Tater Tot Waffle, SHUGGA Hi Cake Waffle™ / topped with tater tots / eggs/ bacon or sausage). Yes, it was as good as it sounds. Another favorite is the DA' BOMB™ (2 biscuits / stuffed inside eggs / bacon / sausage / cheese / on top drizzled honey butter). There is also a fun lunch menu which might want to try soon. I think you will really enjoyed a meal at Shugga Hi and the don’t’ forget the strawberry cake, you might want to take that home with you. I chatted with Kathy who was delightful.
