Would you tell your kid to follow the same college path you did?

My wife and I both have degrees from the ’90s. Both of our daughters are choosing alternatives to traditional college, and we support them.

I’ve spent decades in technology, and what I’m doing with AI today has changed my perspective on education and work.

Right now, I’m using AI to rebuild a major web platform with a goal of launching in under 90 days. Not long ago, I didn’t think tackling that project was feasible.

That raises a serious question: What should we be learning—and paying to learn—to prepare for the next decade?

I love physical gold and silver—but I’m not adding to my stack right now.

Last night, my wife and I were talking about buying more gold. Before making the purchase, we looked at the charts. That changed our decision.

Right now, I see a stronger setup in crypto, so that’s where my new investment dollars are going.

My daughter's AP English teacher gave her a ZERO on her college essay.

The reason? An AI detector said it was "100% AI generated."

Here's what the detector didn't know: she read that essay to my wife and me before she turned it in. It was about marching drum corps all summer in the heat. We were there. We watched it happen. She used AI to build an outline and that's it.

Same teacher shows the class images she makes with AI. Uses it all the time. But a student using it to structure a paper gets a zero and no feedback.

I've been in tech for 30+ years and I've never once seen tech lose. Teachers and professors fighting AI are going to lose this one too. And I think a lot of mid-major colleges won't survive the next decade because of it.
