One of the biggest mistakes we see this time of year is dropping the deck too low trying to stretch out the time between mows.

Cutting off more than 1/3 of the grass blade at once stresses the root system right when the turf is trying to store up strength. Keep the height consistent, keep the blades sharp, and let the lawn transition naturally.
