Thank you to Grove City College for the invitation to attend the 2026 Pittsburgh Prayer Breakfast at Acrisure Staduim this morning. What a joy to pray for our city with over 700 faith leaders. We were particularly honored to sit with Grove City College President Brad Lingo and his wife Yvonne and hear President Lingo give the keynote address. What stood out to us the most is Brad and Yvonne's commitment to the gospel and their passion to keep GCC rooted in Christ. It is this same comittment to academic excellence in genuine Christian community that we hope to emulate this coming year as we launch ENRICHED Homeschool Hybrid! We thank God for the GCC network that is behind us in this endeavor!

Shoutout to our friend Zach Jew for roping us in. Sending best wishes to Coach Jew & the GCC Men's Lacrosse team in their playoff game this weekend.

Leechburg organized its Volunteer Fire Department in 1891 after a devastating fire that destroyed 28 buildings. If you followed our Cheap Old House renovation- the original owner of our house- J.H. Parks was one of the founding members of the Fire Department. It had 98 members and raised $180 to buy a hose truck.

In 1893 they built the firehall. The first floor housed the trucks and the second floor was outfitted for $800 with a large reading room, fine Brussels carpeting and leather furniture.

Anybody remember the building as a firehall???? What a time!

The singing and the dancing and the personal pride. Is it too much? My oldest has 78 seeds that have sprouted!

I should note that while the hands on science is the most fun to highlight- the kids are almost finished with their math and language curriculum! I've seen a big improvement in my 1st graders' reading, my 3rd graders' math problem accuracy, and my 5th graders writing process. To see them advance academically in such a fun environment makes the extra homeschooling effort worth it.

STARTING OUT MONDAY WITH THE BEST NEWS- BUILDING PERMIT APPROVED 💪👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Thanks to for getting us to this point. We are starting work on the 1st floor of Enriched Homeschool Hybrid. Taking a former pharmaceutical lab and turning it into muti-purpose space for the school. Follow-along on the renovation journey!

We are opening Armstrong County's first Homeschool Hybrid program next year- and if you are following this- you can help! STUDENT ENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN- and we have 30 spots left.

We know by the 100s and 100s of likes on the Elevated Hair Co. posts- you are just as psyched as we are to welcome the Elevated team to their new space in Leechburg. We've got quite a bit of construction work to get the space ready by October- so grab a coffee at Coco Coffeehouse or a donut at the new donut shop and enjoy the show 😀 We do kindly ask that you dont walk into the space. We know its tempting - but its an active construction zone 💕👷‍♂️👷‍♀️
