Great information for those considering adding solar panels to their homes, especially if this is not your forever home and you plan on selling some time soon. This is definitely a Buyer Beware moment. If you are planning on buying a home soon, get yourself a real estate professional to help you navigate these and other challenges in the home buying process.

“Solar-powered home” sounds like a great money-saving deal, but buyers should study possible costs before committing. Not all property insurance companies will cover solar panels, and the ones that do have a wide-ranging set of rules and inconsistent coverage pricing.

The AS IS contract, Residential contract and seven Riders were updated, and three new Riders were created. Members will have time to study the changes before it replaces current forms on Nov. 1.
