❄️ Time to Texas Winterize ❄️

Just a friendly reminder from your favorite REALTOR® — colder temperatures are expected to significantly drop starting Friday morning.

By Thursday evening, I strongly suggest the following:

✔️ Cover all exterior faucets (hose bibs).
If we’re facing multiple days below freezing, add a towel inside the cover for extra protection.

✔️ Turn off automatic lawn sprinkler systems.
You can switch them back to automatic once temps stay above freezing.

✔️ Tankless water heater outside the home?
Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for insulating and protecting it.

✔️ During freezing temps:
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air circulate
• Set all faucets to a very slow drip to help prevent pipes from bursting

✔️ Have a pool?
Secure pool equipment from high winds and follow your pool manufacturer’s winterization guidance.

Homes in Texas are not built for extreme cold, and these simple steps can help prevent costly damage.
