At the end of the day, my job is simple:

The biggest real estate myth?
There is no such thing as the market.
When people ask, "How's the market?" they're usually expecting one simple answer.
But real estate is much more nuanced than that.
There isn't one market. There are hundreds of micro-markets.
Your town.
Your neighborhood.
Your price range.
Your property type.
Your buyer pool.
That's why two homes can hit the market on the same day and have completely different results.
The closer you get to the local level, the more useful the information becomes.
That's also why I spend so much time studying buyer behavior. Understanding what buyers are looking for, how they're making decisions, and where demand is strongest tells us far more than a national headline ever could.

Downsizing isn't always about getting smaller.
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that downsizing means moving from a large home into a tiny space.
In reality, most people aren't looking for less space. They're looking for a home that fits the way they live today.
You may still need:
✔ A home office
✔ Space for visiting children and grandchildren
✔ A guest room or caregiver suite
✔ Separate spaces for hobbies and everyday living
The real question isn't "How much space do I need?"
It's "How do I want to live?"
For many homeowners in Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Natick, and throughout MetroWest, downsizing is really a lifestyle shift focused on simplicity, flexibility, and planning for the future.
