The details are coming together. ✨ This custom build is in its final stretch, and the landscape lighting is really starting to show what this property is going to feel like at night: palms uplit along the drive, warm accents framing the entrance, and that quiet glow through the live oaks in the back. Landscaping's filling in beautifully too.

So close now. We can't wait to share the finished home!

We're looking through the archives and were struck by how often Built our coast shapes the design of the homes we touch.

Here are a few examples of Northeast Florida builds that took their cue from the water: Organic, hand-set marble in the primary shower that moves like sea grass in the tide. Cedar shake siding that weathers into the landscape, salt air and all. Hand-painted cement tile underfoot, and a powder room wrapped in a palm-and-pagoda print that feels like a boutique oceanfront hotel.

This is what custom luxury looks like when it's rooted in place. 🌞 🌊 🕶️

Before the foundation goes in, the land sometimes tells us how to build.

Every lot in Northeast Florida has its own character: grand live oaks, native palmettos, the natural fall of the land toward the marsh or the trees. Clearing and grading isn't about starting with a blank slate. It's about listening to what's already there and determining how the natural landscape can enhance your build.

In Northeast Florida, we get to build for outdoor living almost year-round and that changes what a backyard needs to be.

A screened porch with a fireplace and a full sectional isn't a luxury add-on anymore. It's where your family actually lives half the year. We're seeing more clients ask for these intimate, purpose-built nooks like a fireplace to gather around, a spot for the TV, seating that invites people to stay a while, because a big open patio just doesn't get used the same way a real conversation space does.

That's the shift we're building for: backyards designed with the same intention as the inside of the house. Custom doesn't mean bigger. It means built for how you'll actually use it.

This custom kitchen is still mid-build, but the bones are already showstoppers: a waterfall-edge island with the stone running clean from countertop to floor, and fumed white oak cabinetry with a rich, natural grain you won't find in a catalog.

Still finishing out the details: appliance panels, hardware, trim, but we had to share where it's at. ✨️
