Lordy the rumors are little extreme so I'm adding this
THERE WERE NO FLAMES anywhere in the building or coming out of the building....
Last week there were elevator issues with elevator making some funky noises when it was running up/down so tech came out and discovered a seal was leaking which he ordered a new seal and of course we have to wait for the seal/parts to arrive... Jump to yesterday morning apparently the seal went completely out and so there was a burning oil smell that set the fire alarm system off... If anyone has smelt burnt oil before they know it's pretty strong so this is why the fire alarm system went off and why the elevator is currently down... We are at the mercy of the new parts showing up...
All residents are safe and nobody was harmed!
I'm doing my best to make sure all residents have what they need till elevator is repaired...

I want to help prevent misunderstandings, and misinformation by sharing the facts about this morning's incident.
This morning at 5:00am I received a call from our fire alarm system, stating we had a fire inside Wheatview. After Fire Dept, Sheriff's office and myself investigated the situation, we believe the issue is related to the elevator. As a safety precaution, the elevator will remain out of service until an elevator technician can inspect it tomorrow.
