Last month, I celebrated my 20-year work anniversary at Wheatview. I made a post about it, and honestly, I never expected anything to come from it.
Then last week, I received the sweetest surprise from a community member. Along with a gift of Chamber Bucks, they included a handwritten note that touched my heart more than they will ever know.
They wrote about seeing how much I care about the residents, thanked me for what I do, and reminded me that I am appreciated. Those words meant more to me than the gift itself.
Working in housing isn't always easy, and there are days when you wonder if what you do makes a difference. Receiving this unexpected act of kindness was a reminder that sometimes people do notice, and they do care.
To the wonderful person who sent this, THANK YOU. Your kindness, encouragement, and thoughtful words truly made my day and will stay with me for a long time.
I am grateful to be part of such an amazing community.
