Day 6 of 17 Days of Fall.
If you time it just right in the early morning, you can catch the full moon setting just above Deer Creek in Nevada City. Visible from the historic S. Pine Street Bridge, the fall color views of this creek are incredible. The land throughout the area of Nevada County and beyond hold a special place of consideration for those who visit. The Nisenan, who still live here today are working through the government bureaucracy of being a federally-recognized reservation of Northern California. An area with a rich but bloody history, the Nevada City Rancheria want everyone to know…they are still here. If you get the chance, visit their gallery, ‘UBA SEO, on Broad Street in Nevada City and learn more about the history and their fascinating culture.
