 I just read an article recently called Death of the Starter Home,  it makes me sad to see that that is such a reality right now for so many first time homebuyers because of the price of homes. It also made me want to share something that we are seeing as a trend to address the situation; it is where Friends and/or family members decide to go in together to purchase a home to make it more affordable. It can be a steppingstone towards getting into their own home in the future. I spoke with one of the lenders I work with this morning and he indicated that he is seeing that happen in his business…where people are co-borrowing together to make it possible.
