This stairway is positioned to take full advantage of it. The window placement brings light in at the right angle, casting across the wall and steps instead of getting lost. It highlights the texture of the wood treads and keeps the space from feeling closed in.

The open railing keeps sightlines clean and allows that light to carry through to the rest of the home. Nothing feels boxed in or disconnected.
