💙🏡 Grateful to Give Back—Together! 🏡💙

What started as a fun community event turned into an incredible opportunity to make an even greater impact.

Through the generosity and collaboration of the Neuse River Region Association of REALTORS®, the Home Builders Association, and the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation, we were incredibly proud to present more than $8,000 to Habitat for Humanity!

One of the most exciting parts of this give back was seeing how the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation matching grant allowed us to take the funds raised locally and multiply their impact. By bringing together multiple resources, we were able to turn one fundraising effort into something much bigger for our community.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated, participated, partnered, and helped make this possible. When REALTORS®, home builders, community organizations, and the Housing Foundation work together, we can accomplish so much more.

At the end of the day, we all share a common goal: helping make homeownership possible, accessible, and attainable in the communities we serve. 🏠💙

Habitat for Humanity of Craven County is receiving more than $8,000 thanks to local housing organizations working together to support affordable homeownership. The Neuse River Region Association of REALTORS , North Carolina REALTORS Housing Foundation, and Home Builders Association combined donations and matching funds to turn $1,280 raised at a single event into an $8,120 contribution. It’s a great example of what can happen when local organizations come together around a shared goal of helping more families achieve homeownership.

Safety isn’t only about what happens during a showing — it’s also about protecting yourself online.

REALTORS® can be targets for scams involving fake buyers and sellers, fraudulent listings, suspicious links, wire fraud, and phishing emails or texts.

🔍 Slow down and verify before you act.

Be cautious of:
⚠️ New clients who refuse to verify their identity
⚠️ Requests to communicate only through text or email
⚠️ Unexpected links or attachments
⚠️ Urgent requests involving money or wire instructions
⚠️ Property owners or sellers whose information doesn’t add up

If something feels unusual, stop and verify it through a trusted source before moving forward.

A few extra minutes of caution could protect you, your clients, and the entire transaction. 💙
