I was born and raised in Texas where I attended Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Health in 2012. Upon graduation, I got married to my college sweetheart and began moving around the country with him as a military wife. We feel blessed to have been able to move to the charming town of New Bern and enjoy all that Eastern North Carolina has to offer. You quite frankly get to experience a little bit of everything here! From all types of bodies of water, specialty shops, rich history, art shows, to friendly faces, outdoor activities, festivals galore, and much more! If you're making the decision to move here, or are being relocated here, I guarantee you'll find something (and most likely more than one thing) to love about this area! When not assisting others in their real estate ventures, you will likely find me outside playing some type of sport (ultimate frisbee, basketball and sand volleyball are my favorites!). Other hobbies include spending time with my husband and friends, and spoiling my two golden retrievers! Prior to real estate and moving to North Carolina, I worked in the healthcare field working directly with kids with special needs as well as being an Activity Director for a retirement community. Helping others has always been a deep passion of mine and I love the experiences I gained and the relationships I formed with all of the families and people that I was lucky to work with. Ultimately, everyone deserves to have someone walk beside them and assist them with their decisions and duties they run into when buying and selling a house and I am honored to be able to have the opportunity to serve others by doing just that. 👀 Who wants a sneak peek inside the Children’s Museum of New Bern?!🙋‍♀️

I was lucky enough to take a tour now that some of the exhibits have started being installed, and let me tell you- I am SO excited for all there is going to be for kids to see, do, explore, and learn here!

Some of the spaces are already starting to come to life! In the pictures, you’ll get a peek at:

🩺 Doctor’s office
🐾 Vet clinic
🚢 Boat
🏠 Playhouse
🏕️ Camping exhibit
🚧 Building & construction area

But here’s the crazy part- what you see completed in these pictures isn’t even close to everything that’s coming!

Some of the rooms may look a little empty right now, but just wait. 👀 There are plans for:

🛒Grocery Store exhibit
🔬 STEM room - including a wind tunnel, light table, magnet wall & more
🚀 Space exhibit
🦖 Dinosaur exhibit - complete with fossil digging, volcanoes & more

But one of my absolute favorite things about this museum isn’t something you can necessarily see in the pictures.❤️ Accessibility is being built into the museum from the start. Every single exhibit is being designed to be wheelchair accessible, even the changing area. I just love knowing how much thought is being put into making sure all families feel welcomed, accommodated, and included.

So happy for this beautiful family who closed on their brand-new home in Carolina Colours! 🏡🤍

From first connecting after they found me online to watching their new home take shape, it’s been such a pleasure getting to know them and being a part of their journey. I’m so grateful for the trust they placed in me along the way!

It's Closing Day!🏡🔑

I don't always share our personal real estate milestones, but this one felt worth sharing because of the story behind it.💕

In 2015, we received PCS orders to Cherry Point and bought our very first home, sight unseen. That little house became the backdrop to so many of our early years as newlyweds and holds some of our favorite memories.

Three years later, we sold it, thinking we were headed back to Texas. But plans changed, we decided to make New Bern home, and life took us in a different direction.

Fast forward to today… we had the incredible opportunity to buy that same little house back and turn it into our 7th investment property. 🥹

Walking through it again was incredibly nostalgic. It’s pretty surreal to think about how much has changed since that first closing in 2015, and now have the opportunity to give this little house another chapter.

This is a big part of why real estate means so much to me and why I truly think every client’s closing is so special. It’s not just about houses- it’s about the different seasons of life, the memories made, the reasons behind each move, and the stories that make each one unique. I’m grateful that real estate isn’t just my profession, it’s something I personally experience and navigate in my own life, too. Being on the other side of these experiences myself has given me a perspective I’m grateful to bring to the people I work with. Real estate continues to play such a meaningful part in my own story, while also giving me the opportunity to help others navigate some of the most meaningful chapters of theirs. ❤️

First, a little fishing along Brices Creek- our girl consistently catches the perfect toddler-sized fish here 😅🐟 Grab some bait worms at Merchant's Grocery on your way and you’re all set!

And then… ice cream, RIGHT across the street! 🙌

Sammy's Softserve for a sweet treat! Their flavor of the month is Orange Dreamsicle 🍊🍦 (so good!), and I love their twist too! Kick back, take in the water views, and enjoy some tasty ice cream. AND you’re supporting local! 💯

The Craven County Planning and Inspections Department has launched the Craven County Planning and Inspections Portal, an online platform designed to give residents, contractors, and businesses a streamlined way to manage their planning and permitting needs. The portal’s launch reflects Craven County’s ongoing commitment to improving customer service, increasing accessibility, and modernizing the permitting process.

The portal serves as a one-stop location for the entire permitting process. The online system allows users to apply, schedule, and pay for permits any time day from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Users will receive email notifications with updates such as fee and payment notices, inspection scheduling, requests for additional documentation, and inspection results.

Citizens who wish to use the online system can create an account to begin the online permitting process. Planning staff are available to assist with registration during normal hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Craven County continues to offer its in-person services as well. The Planning and Inspections office remains open for permit applications and submittals during regular business hours at 2828 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28562.

It's opening day at The Way Station Mercantile, and I've been excited all week to visit! If you know me well enough, you know this is right up my alley. 🙌 I just got back, and let me tell you, this is exactly the kind of unique shop New Bern was missing. 💛

I bought so many goodies (that tallow balm is AMAZING 💯), and I already can't wait to come back for more!

The owners, Jen and Louis, are truly incredible. A few years ago, I had the honor of helping them purchase a home on some land that would eventually become Liberty Fields Homestead. At the time, Liberty Fields was just a thought and a dream. Now, seeing everything they've built and seeing The Way Station Mercantile open its doors is such a special full-circle moment. 🥹✨

I am in awe of how much they've overcome, accomplished, and worked so hard to bring their vision to life. They dreamed it, they worked for it, and here we are!

Thank you for bringing healthy, wholesome shopping options to our town. Healthy living shouldn't be so difficult, and having a space like this that feels so welcoming and accessible is incredibly special.🙏
