Five weeks before Arabella disappeared from Bulverde, the Comal County Sheriff's Office — the same county she went missing from — conducted Operation Rolling Thunder 4, a three-day undercover human trafficking enforcement operation carried out July 28–30, 2026 in partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Army Criminal Investigations Division, and U.S. Air Force OSI. The operation identified 157 individuals responding to online solicitation advertisements, resulted in six arrests for solicitation of prostitution, and rescued six trafficking victims who were connected to healthcare and victim services. Texas carries the second-highest number of human trafficking cases in the country, and Comal County has documented 16 confirmed trafficking cases and lists 200 registered s*x offenders within its borders. A coordinated multi-agency sting of this scale — involving federal military investigators — conducted one county over from San Antonio and confirmed to be active just weeks before a minor went missing from the same jurisdiction is not background noise. It is the context this case requires.
