I’m excited to share that I’ve officially launched my own brokerage, Betsy Barr Real Estate.

Betsy Barr Real Estate is a full-service boutique brokerage built on personal service, strong communication, and deep roots in the New Braunfels community.
This is a meaningful milestone in my career and one that reflects both my experience in the industry and my commitment to serving clients at a higher level. Building a brokerage that prioritizes relationships, clear communication, and a strong understanding of the local market has always been important to me. I’m incredibly grateful for the clients and colleagues who have trusted and encouraged me along the way.
As I begin this new chapter, my focus remains the same: delivering a straightforward, honest and personalized real estate experience to buyers, sellers and investors throughout New Braunfels and the surrounding areas.

If you’re in the area or simply want to connect, I’d love to stay in touch.

Yall, I am SO stinking excited! Today is a GREAT day!
I have been locked out of my facebook account for an eternity but have somehow managed to please the facebook gods and get back in. I've tried everything. My highly techie and super savvy 20 yr olds have tried everything. Today, I clicked the right button.

This is your reminder that it's the small things in life that make the day great. Sometimes all it takes is to just try again.

As I get older, I realize I have become my momma in so many ways. She loved watching birds and had multiple bird books. In the car, on her coffee table, carried on every hike. Thankfully, they now have an app for that. I am always getting on that app to listen and record birds in order to identify them.
I love hummingbirds and over the summer heard one singing its song. How fun to see their little nest in the Headwaters’ pictures.

It would have been neat to see it next to a hand for size reference. 😉 But beautiful and delicate all the same. Had no idea they used spider’s silk for their nest. How delicate indeed.

I love the start of a new year. It’s a blank slate with tons of possibilities for new memories and new adventures.
One of my favorite things is getting my fresh, brand-new, empty calendar. I actually geek out when it comes in the mail. It’s just itching for me to fill it with all those perfectly wonderful possibilities.

It’s like Anne Shirley says, “Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet.”

Yes, it’s absolutely lovely!

What is your favorite thing about the coming of a new year?

After growing up with NBISD being the Unicorns. It will be a bit weird (and a little bittersweet) to have two high schools within the district. New zoning lines set for Long Creek High School and New Braunfels High School.

It’s that time of year. Spring cleaning!

Spring is near, and now is a good time to start cleaning out the garage and disposing of chemicals, paints, etc that may have piled up.

On Saturday, February 26th from 8am to Noon, city residents are encouraged to drop off their household hazardous waste items at City Hall.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is a chemical product that has any one or a combination of these properties:

Toxic: herbicide, pesticide, fungicide

Reactive: pool chlorine, drain cleaner, hydrogen peroxide

Ignitable: gasoline, lighter fluid, paint thinner, stains

Corrosive: muriatic acid, laundry bleach, oven cleaner

Paint, automotive fluids and filters, and lead-acid batteries are also accepted at events.

Learning at its best! If you are out this morning, stop by the farmer’s market and check out the Oak Run 8th grade GT groups. They created businesses with products and are selling them this morning. Bear’s group, Seasonal Soaps, are selling fast. Mrs. Bryant and Mrs. Cowan are by far the best teachers out there! The kids even do a Shark Tank with investors. A HUGE thank you to Austin Herring at Brake Solutions for sponsoring this group.
