Tomorrow night (Friday, October 2nd), the City of New Braunfels is hosting Fischer Flick, a FREE family movie night at Fischer Park featuring Encanto! Showtime is 6:30 p.m. at the Fischer Park Amphitheater at Hilltop Pavilion, and all ages are welcome.

Pack the lawn chairs, a cozy blanket, and plenty of snacks, and soak in one of the prettiest hilltop views in town. We are so blessed to live in a community that loves gathering together like this!

Local business to love 🌸

If you have not been into Wild Bloom Market on East San Antonio Street yet, do yourself a favor. It is a boutique in the truest sense, packed with clothing for the whole family, home goods, gifts, apothecary and wellness finds, and a whole lot of little things you did not know you needed until you were holding one.

Here is my favorite part. There is no big overhead sign, so plenty of people drive right past it. That means half the fun is walking in for the first time and realizing what has been hiding in plain sight downtown. They are open seven days a week, and their sister shop is New Braunfels Coffee, so you can make a whole morning of it.

This is exactly the kind of place that makes downtown worth walking. Small businesses like this one are built by neighbors who bet on this community, and I love getting to send people their way.

🎡 FAIR WEEK IS HERE, New Braunfels! 🤠

The Comal County Fair & Rodeo opens TODAY and runs through Sunday at the Comal County Fairgrounds on E. Common St. This is one of the most exciting weeks of the year in our community, and Mark and I can't wait!

Rodeo action, livestock shows, carnival rides, live music, and more fair food than anyone should eat in one sitting. We especially love cheering on our local 4-H and FFA kids who have worked so hard all year. They make this community shine!

Traditions like this are exactly why we feel so blessed to call New Braunfels home. 💛

Parents, this is the one your kids will talk about all week. 🚒

Meet the Trucks is happening at Landa Park this Saturday, September 19th. Fire trucks, police cars, garbage trucks, and all the big loud machines that keep New Braunfels running, parked right there for the kids to climb on and ask a hundred questions about.

Here is the part I really want to highlight. The first 30 minutes are sensory friendly, with no sirens and no horns. If you have a child who loves trucks but not the noise, that window was made for you. Come early and let them take it all in. After that, fair warning, the horn comes out.

Bring water and sunscreen, and check the city calendar for the start time.

It says a lot about this city that somebody thought to make room for every kid who wants to be there. Our first responders and public works crews show up for us year round, and this is a good chance to shake their hands and say thanks.

Tucked at 1240 Landa Street off the Loop 337 access road, this one is a gem. Three fenced sections including small dog and agility areas, a walking trail, three shaded pavilions, water fountains for pups and people, waste stations and easy parking. Open dawn to dusk.

Pro tip: early mornings are calm and quiet, evenings are when the whole neighborhood turns out.

Best part? Local volunteers and the Parks Foundation made it happen. That is New Braunfels for you.
